My Kolk line descends from Jacob Kolk (or Colk). Jacob was born in Holland about 1822 and immigrated to the United States about 1849. He settled with his wife, Mary Schmidt (or Smith), in Madison County, Illinois. This page summarizes my journey to find his descendants, and hopefully, some day, his ancestors.
